This ancient holy wood is used to absorb and clear any negative energy and spirts. Due to the threatened nature of this sacred native wood and deforestation of Latin American tropical forests, Rising River Holistics is committed to donating 5% of all profits from the sale of these bundles to the Indigenous Environmental Network.
Ingredients: 2-3 Palo Santo Sticks (sourced from fallen, mature wild trees), 1 Chunk of Tourmaline Stone, 1 Stick of Lavender
How to use: Prepare the space. Make sure your space is clean and clutter free. Connect internally with the stick. do a prayer or say a few words of gratitude for being able to use the medicine before lighting.
Use on yourself to clear your energy field. Invite the smoke into you as you move it around your head all the way to your feet. Make sure to do the bottom of your feet too, and say the phrase, “May you walk in beauty.”
Great for cleansing a new home, Air B & B’s too!
Light the tip & the flame should burn for about 15-20 seconds before it naturally goes out & will have a good smolder going over the entire tip of the stick. This will release a grey tendril of smoke for at least a couple minutes, and leaves a dark rounded tip when you’re finished. You can use one stick multiple times depending on your use. A little goes a long way.
Hold the tourmaline stone near your heart during the cleansing ceremony. Invite the tourmaline stone in by placing in the corner of the room, near your bed or in your pocket.
You can also burn the lavender as incense by simply placing on a piece of incense burner charcoal. You can place the charcoal in an abolone shell, which represents water. You can burn in an Mix with other herbs such as rose, myrrh resin, mugwort or sage.
*Limited availability-these will be the final batches of the Breath of Life Bundles.

Wapajea’s Smudging Process
“We start in the East where the sun rises, and brings us the opportunity to begin again with each new day. Breath.
We go to the South and honor our creativity, our children, the child in us, our playfulness, joy, and hope. Earth.
We go to the West where the sun goes down, and the blackness of introspection begins when the day is done. Water.
We go to the North where our rest awaits us. Knowledge, stamina, compassion, silence. Fire.
We use a feather to fan the sacred smoke in each direction, one drums, one sings, one dances, one prays, until we have circled back to the east.”
Tips for Smudging
The art of smudging is a sacred act and Grandmother Walks on Water says these are some things to keep in mind before starting the ritual.
Hold sacredness and respect when connecting with the plant people who help you in this ceremony and when you pray.
Remember and honor your ancestors with good deeds.
Honor the divine by caring for what the Great Spirit has created.
See the divine Mother in everything. Women are the embodiment of Great Spirit’s creation on Earth, thru the gift of birth, so women are holy. We are all from the same womb.
Everything is related to everything; nothing is random.
Caring for creation is everyone’s responsibility.
This will is not religion; this is love.
