The State of Union
In the aftermath of George Floyd's murder in 2020, Shankari and Yogi J Miles, both yoga teachers and activists, established State of Union as a call to action for the yoga community to drive positive change through significant dialogue. The establishment of State of Union was a response to the long-standing issue of the invisibility of Black yogis in the industry. The aim was to create a platform that could be an inspiration for continued learning and growth, and serves as a resource for those seeking to make a difference.

Shensara Festival
Shensara was a 4 day yoga, music, and art festival located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley and Blue Ridge Mountains. Rich in history and family owned, the Shensara Farm is watched over by Kennedy Peak Mountain, which features some of the best views in the state of Virginia.
Music, Kirtan and Art

With her debut Kirtan album "Virgo Meets Libra" released in 2016, in collaboration with The Ascendants, one can hope there will be more soul-stirring performances to be announced in the future.
